Enhance Your Neurovascular Ultrasound Skills
Join us for an intensive, hands-on Neurovascular Workshop focusing on performance and interpretation of transcranial Doppler (TCD). This course is designed for sonographers and other medical professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge and expertise in neurovascular ultrasound, and to be eligible for the Neurovascular Specialist (NVS) examination and credential.
Work with the Best
Course Director Mark N Rubin MD is an actively practicing neurologist and sonographer, with RPNI and NVS credentials for performance and interpretation of neurovascular ultrasound. He has been active in practice, research and education throughout his career and is an invited speaker at regional, national and international neurovascular ultrasound conferences.
Kaitlyn Alexander, RVT is an actively practicing sonographer, making the most of her NVS credential in one of the few neurovascular ultrasound-focused labs in the country. Her extensive clinical experience makes her a draw for TCD education and well suited to give practical technical advice during this course.
Program Objectives:
Anatomy Review: Identify and understand the anatomy of the neurovascular system
Ultrasound Physics: Grasp the basics of ultrasound physics and the principles of flow dynamics
Instrumentation & Techniques: Master the instrumentation and the best technical practices for TCD
Interpretation Basics: Learn basic concepts of interpreting TCD ultrasound studies
